1.   Your life is important.

2.   Your decisions are yours to make.

3.   Consequences affect more than just you.

4.   Are you experienced in making decisions?

5.   Do you have a track record of good decisions?

6.   Do you devote consideration to the process of deciding?

 

QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER ASKING YOURSELF

1.      DO I WANT GOD’S WILL OR MY WAY? (Galatians 5.17)

 

2.      IS THERE A DOWN SIDE TO MY WAY? (Proverbs 14.12; 16.25)

 

3.      WHAT IS THE KEY TO GOD’S WILL? (Proverbs 4.7; First Corinthians 1.30)

How does the child of God acquire wisdom?

- Prayer (James 1.5)

- Study

- Experience (Job 32.9)

- Counsel (Proverbs 11.14; 15.22)

 

4.      WHAT ROLE DOES ATTITUDE PLAY?

- The proud are presumptuous (Proverbs 29.23)

- The humble are prudent and protected (Proverbs 15.33)

 

CONCLUSION:

1.   I have important decisions to make and I want your counsel.

2.   You have important decisions to make and you need to pray, study God’s Word, and seek counsel.
