International Students: I-20 Procedures and Tuition

Calvary Road Baptist Academy is SEVP-certified to enroll international students with Form I-20 for F-1 visas. Follow these steps to join our Christ-centered, college-preparatory program. Application Process

Step 1: Application

  • Submit Application for Admission.
  • Pay $250 non-refundable application fee.
  • Provide official transcripts (recent years; high school students include middle school).
  • Submit passport copy.
  • Pay $350 I-901 government fee.

Step 2: Enrollment

  • Provide immunization record (with official hospital or notarized translation).
  • Submit notarized Guardianship Authorization form.
  • Pay $375 non-refundable registration fee.

Step 3: F-1 Visa

  • Schedule US embassy appointment for F-1 visa interview (pay interview fee online).

Step 4: Before Arriving

  • Email F-1 visa stamp and arrival date to admissions.
  • Schedule placement exam and orientation.
  • Pay remaining tuition and fees.

Tuition and Fees

  • I-20 Application Fee: $250 (non-refundable).
  • I-901 Government Fee: $350.
  • Registration Fee: $375 (non-refundable, includes academic file setup, diagnostic testing).
  • Tuition: $11,600/year (non-refundable, non-transferable; includes curriculum, ESL program, materials, Iowa Assessment Testing, lab fees).
  • Miscellaneous Fees (Not Included in Tuition):
    • Accreditation Fee: $400.
    • ESL Tutoring (mandatory for non-proficient students): $3,000/year (1 hour after school, Monday-Thursday).
    • Student Regional Convention: TBD.
    • Uniforms: Cost upon request (parent responsibility).

Student Checklist

  • Submit all application documents (11th/12th graders include 9th-grade transcripts with course descriptions).
  • Academy applies for I-901 on your behalf.
  • Receive admissions decision and acceptance letter within 1 week.
  • Submit enrollment documents for I-20 issuance.
  • Provide notarized Guardianship Authorization form (Power of Attorney).
  • Schedule F-1 visa interview.
  • Email visa and arrival details; complete placement testing/orientation before starting school.
