THE BLESSED TRINITY
Second Corinthians 13.14

The Bible teaches the one true God to exist as a trinity.

1A.  PROOF #1 WILL CONFIRM THE EXISTENCE OF ONLY ONE GOD, JEHOVAH.

Exodus 3.14; 20.1-5; Deuteronomy 6.4; Isaiah 44.6-8; First Corinthians 8.4; First Timothy 2.5

2A.  PROOF #2 INVOLVES HARD EVIDENCE TO SHOW THAT THERE ARE THREE DISTINCT PERSONS WHO ARE GOD.

Three points.

1B.  It must first be pointed out that the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit of God are all persons.

1C.  The Father is a person.

2C.  Next, Jesus Christ is also a person.

3C.  Third, that the Holy Spirit is also a person is a bit less obvious, but it can be proven.
John 16.13-14; Acts 13.2; 16.6-7;

2B.  It must now be pointed out that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are recognized as God.

1C.  That the Father is God requires little proof.
John 17.1-3; Ephesians 1.2

2C.  That the Son of God is also God, is seen in Scripture.

3C.  That the Holy Spirit is God can also be seen in Scripture.
Job 33.4; Acts 5.3-4; Romans 8.9

3B.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct persons of the Godhead.

1C.  Notice, first, that the Father is distinguished from the Son, in John 20.21

2C.  John 15.26 - Here Jesus, the speaker, clearly distinguishes the Father from the Spirit.

3C.  John 14.16 - Again, the three persons of the Godhead are each distinguished from each other.
