REBUKING THE STRONG AND THE WEAK
Romans 14.3-4


1A.  First, WE ARE GIVEN THE REBUKES OF THE STRONG AND THE WEAK
“Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him which eateth.”

1B.  Notice the rebuke of the strong in the faith
“Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not”

2B.  Now notice the rebuke of the weak in the faith
“And let not him which eateth not judge him which eateth.”



2A.  Next, WE ARE GIVEN THE RATIONALE FOR REBUKING THE ATTITUDE OF THE WEAK

Read the last phrase of verse 3 together with verse 4:

1B.  As to communion
“For God hath received him”

2B.  As to confrontation
“Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant?”

3B.  As to convention
“To his own master he standeth or falleth”

4B.  As to conviction
“Yea, he shall be held up.”

5B.  And what’s the basis for the conviction? The Control
“For God is able to make him stand”
